 On Saturday morning, June 7, six graduates of Sacred Heart Major Seminary were ordained to the Roman Catholic priesthood for the Archdiocese of Detroit. Cardinal Adam Maida, archbishop of Detroit, celebrated the Mass of Ordination and performed the ordinations in the archdiocese' newly renovated Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament. All of the men earned Master of Divinity degrees from Sacred Heart and graduated this past April. The new priests are: Fr. John Bustamante, 39, son of Anthony and Cecelia Bustamante. His home parish is Church of the Divine Child, Dearborn. He has been assigned as associate pastor to St. Frances Cabrini Parish, Allen Park.
Fr. Paul Czarnota, 40, son of John and Alice Czarnota. His home parish is San Francesco, Clinton Township. He has been assigned as associate pastor to Our Lady of Victory Parish, Northville.
Fr. Pawel Kaczmarczyk, 26, son of Andrzej and Maria Kaczmarczyk. His home parish is St. Frances Cabrini, Allen Park. He has been assigned as associate pastor to Guardian Angels Parish, Clawson.
Fr. Robert Liberty, Jr., 33, son of Robert and Kathalene Liberty. His home parish is St. Joan of Arc, St. Clair Shores. He has been assigned as associate pastor to the National Shrine of the Little Flower, Royal Oak.
Fr. James McNulty, 48, son of Elwood and Doris McNulty. His home parish is St. Margaret of Scotland, St. Clair Shores. He has been assigned as associate pastor to Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, Plymouth.
Fr. Anthony Richter, 38, son of Clement and Mary Richter. His home parish is All Saints, Detroit. He has been assigned to St. John Neumann Parish, Canton.

Two April graduates of Sacred Heart will receive priestly ordination for other dioceses. These men are:
Steven Anderson, 44, who will be ordained for the Diocese of Lansing on Saturday, June 14, at St. Mary Cathedral, Lansing, Michigan.
Timothy Ferris, 33, who will be ordained for the Diocese of Toledo, Saturday, June 28, at Our Lady Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral, Toledo, Ohio.
Approximately seven hundred priests currently serve 1.4 million Catholics living in the six counties of the Archdiocese of Detroit. In the last five years, the archdiocese has been averaging five ordinations per year.
