CHSL Centennial Celebration Begins with Opening Mass at Historic Holy Redeemer Church

The Catholic High School League will officially begin its Centennial Celebration with a special Mass on Thursday, September 3, at Holy Redeemer Church in Detroit. Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m.

For 100 years, the Catholic High School League has united generations of student-athletes, coaches, educators, administrators, and families through a shared commitment to faith, excellence, and educational athletics. The Centennial Mass provides an opportunity to give thanks for the countless individuals who have shaped the League's remarkable history while asking God's continued blessings upon its future.

Founded in 1926, the CHSL has remained steadfast in its mission of developing young men and women of character through interscholastic athletics. As the League celebrates a century of competition, community, and Catholic education, the opening Mass serves as a reminder that faith has always been at the heart of the CHSL experience.

All members of the Catholic High School League community—including students, alumni, coaches, athletic administrators, school leaders, families, officials, and supporters—are invited to join in this special celebration.

The Centennial year promises to honor the League's rich tradition while looking ahead to the next 100 years of forming student-athletes who exemplify the CHSL motto:
