Regulations
Field Hockey, one of the newest championship events in the Catholic League consists of only five varsity teams. Bloomfield Hills Academy of the Sacred Heart, Livonia Ladywood, Birmingham Marian and Farmington Hills Mercy competed in its first season, and Warren Regina joined in 2009.
Playoff Regulations:
Two thirty minute halves. If teams are tied play will continue with one ten minute 7 versus 7 sudden victory. If teams are still tied after first overtime then play will be five player shoot out (8 seconds from the 23 line 1 v 1 with goalie). All five have the opportunity to shoot.
If still tied 5 player shoot out (8 seconds from the 23 line) sudden victory.
