2025 Catholic High School League Girls Golf Preview

Aug 15, 2025

The 2025 Catholic High School League girls' golf season tees off with excitement as both defending champions — St. Ursula Academy in the Bishop Champion and Greenhills School the Cardinal Champion — look to repeat their championship performances from 2024.

In the Bishop Championship, St. Ursula Academy returns after capturing last year’s title with a team score of 302, edging Cranbrook Kingswood (305) in a thrilling finish. Emma Myers led the Arrows with an even-par 69, finishing second overall. The Bishop individual title went to Sydney Behnke of Cranbrook Kingswood, whose 68 (-1) paced a deep and talented field. With several returning players, St. Ursula aims to defend its crown against perennial contenders Mercy, Marian, and Cranbrook Kingswood.

The Cardinal Championship was dominated by Greenhills School, which posted a winning score of 330 to claim the 2024 championship. Senior standout Mia Melendez delivered a remarkable performance, firing a 63 (-6) to win the individual title by six strokes — one of the most impressive rounds in recent CHSL history. St. Mary’s Prep (340) and Divine Child (361) rounded out the top three, and both are expected to challenge again this fall.

With a mix of veteran leadership, rising young talent, and strong team depth across the league, the 2025 CHSL Girls Golf season promises tight leaderboards, memorable rounds, and another exciting finish at the league championships this fall.
