Boys Golf Season Preview

The spring sports season is underway across the Catholic High School League, and the CHSL boys golf season promises another year of strong competition on courses throughout southeast Michigan. Programs across the league will once again compete for divisional championships and the opportunity to showcase their talent in one of the CHSL’s most tradition-rich sports.

Each spring, the CHSL schedule brings together many of the league’s most consistent athletic programs. Schools such as Detroit Catholic Central, Brother Rice, Cranbrook Kingswood, Everest Collegiate, and several others traditionally field competitive teams capable of challenging for league titles and advancing into the MHSAA postseason.

The format of the season emphasizes both team depth and individual excellence. Dual meets and league events throughout April and May determine divisional standings, while championship tournaments later in the spring crown CHSL champions and highlight the league’s top golfers. Along the way, individual players will also compete for honors such as All-Catholic recognition and other postseason awards.

Golf continues to be a sport where discipline, precision, and consistency are rewarded. Many CHSL programs feature experienced upperclassmen alongside emerging young talent, setting the stage for tight matches and competitive tournament play throughout the spring.

As the season unfolds, fans can expect exciting finishes and outstanding individual performances from some of the region’s top high school golfers. With championship aspirations across every division, the 2026 CHSL boys golf season is shaping up to be another memorable one on the links.
