The 2025 Catholic High School League (CHSL) Lacrosse Championships delivered an unforgettable day of high-stakes action and thrilling finishes, with both the Cardinal and Bishop Division titles decided in overtime.
In the Cardinal Division Championship, Fr. Gabriel Richard outlasted Divine Child in a double-overtime classic, earning an 11-10 victory. The tightly contested matchup saw both teams trade goals throughout, but it was Gabriel Richard who broke through in the second OT to clinch their first CHSL title since 2017, sparking emotional celebrations from players and fans alike.
The Bishop Division Championship was equally dramatic, as Detroit Catholic Central edged out archrival Brother Rice with a 12-11 win in overtime. The Shamrocks secured their third consecutive CHSL title, continuing their recent dominance in the league and reaffirming their place atop the CHSL lacrosse hierarchy.
Both games highlighted the depth of talent and intensity within CHSL lacrosse, setting a high bar for championships to come.
