Mid-season recap
The following is based on current scores and standings.
Central Division (Varsity)
- Detroit Catholic Central and U-D Jesuit have opened their league seasons unbeaten, showing balanced play on both sides of the ball.
- De La Salle Collegiate rebounded from an early loss to pick up a convincing win over Brother Rice.
- Central matchups such as DCC vs. U-D Jesuit will be key turning points as the division race tightens.
AA Division (Varsity)
- Divine Child started strong with dominant wins, including an 8–0 victory over Toledo Central Catholic.
- Their run was checked by St. Mary’s Prep, which handed Divine Child a loss later on, and by Greenhills in a close result.
- Cranbrook Kingswood has posted an undefeated AA league record to date, standing out as a team to beat.
- Toledo Central Catholic and Lutheran North have faced steep challenges early, with several lopsided defeats already on the books.
Intersectional 1 Division
- Intersectional 1 has featured a mix of tight contests and breakout performances, with teams jockeying for position and trying to avoid early-season slips.
- Teams that can string together consistent league performances will be positioned well heading into postseason play, especially if they can avoid split results.
Intersectional 2 Division
- Intersectional 2 play has seen strong contributions from squads with momentum from last season, but also a handful of uneven results that have kept the division standings fluid.
- On any given night, teams in Intersectional 2 have shown the potential to surprise, making the standings more volatile than in other divisions.
- The depth of the group means that a midseason surge could dramatically change playoff seeding, and early form will be important.
While Central and AA divisions are beginning to settle into clearer pecking orders, the Intersectional divisions remain more unpredictable. League play is still young — there’s plenty of time for movement, momentum shifts, and standout individual efforts to influence the standings.
