The 2026 CHSL Cardinal Track Championship will be hosted at Lutheran North High School on Friday, May 8, bringing together some of the league’s top boys and girls programs for a full afternoon of championship competition.

Field events will begin at 3:30 PM, followed by running finals at 4:30 PM. With no preliminary rounds, every race will carry championship implications from the start, creating an exciting, fast-paced meet atmosphere.

Meet Information & Format

Each school will be allowed three entries per event, regardless of seed times or marks, with one relay team per school. This structure ensures broad participation while maintaining a highly competitive championship field.

Additionally, every participating school is required to provide meet workers, reinforcing the collaborative effort that makes CHSL championship events possible.

With no preliminaries, expect immediate intensity across all events—from explosive sprints to distance races, and from the jumps to the throws. Depth will be key, as teams rely on multiple scorers to contend for the Cardinal crown.
