CHSL Rosary Rally Unites Community at Ford Field
On Monday, August 25, the Catholic High School League (CHSL) gathered at Ford Field for a powerful Rosary Rally, bringing together student-athletes, coaches, administrators, and families in prayer and reflection.
The evening began with a heartfelt testimonial from David Greenwood, a graduate of St. Martin DePorres High School and the current Executive Director of Community Engagement & Facilities for Detroit Police Athletic League. Greenwood shared how his faith and CHSL roots have shaped his life and leadership journey, inspiring students to live with purpose both on and off the field.
The rosary was then led by Mickey Redmond, CAA, Athletic Director at Father Gabriel Richard High School in Ann Arbor. With students and coaches leading each decade, the event highlighted the spiritual heart of the League:
-
St. Mary’s Prep
-
Bishop Foley
-
Shrine
-
Cabrini
-
De La Salle
Each school guided the community in prayer, uniting voices across the League in devotion to Our Lady.
The Rosary Rally served as a reminder that CHSL athletics is about more than competition—it is about building faith, character, and fellowship. Together, the League family celebrated its shared mission of forming leaders rooted in Catholic values.
