2025 CHSL Cardinal Track Championship Recap
The 2025 CHSL Cardinal Track Championships, held May 9 at Lutheran High North, delivered standout performances, thrilling finishes, and three new CHSL records in the girls’ division.
Girls Highlights:
Ann Arbor Father Gabriel Richard claimed the women’s team title with 143.5 points, followed by Orchard Lake St. Mary’s (122) and Cranbrook Kingswood (105.5). The championship saw history made as three CHSL records were shattered:

Shot Put: Ann Arbor’s Gianna Powell launched a new league record with a massive throw of 45' 8", dominating the field.

200m Dash: Kayla Morgan of Orchard Lake St. Mary’s stormed to victory in 24.47 seconds, setting a new CHSL standard.

400m Dash: Cranbrook Kingswood’s Ava Thomas broke the tape in 56.03 seconds, another record-breaking mark.
Boys Highlights:
On the boys’ side, Macomb Lutheran North captured the team championship with 169 points, trailed by Riverview Gabriel Richard (134) and Central Catholic (117). While no records fell in the boys’ division, the competition remained fierce across sprints, distance, and field events.
With multiple personal bests and several thrilling relays, the 2025 championships underscored the depth of talent across the Catholic League and set the tone for an exciting postseason.
