Track & Field Preview

The Catholic High School League track and field season is underway, and once again the boys and girls competitions promise to showcase the depth, balance and tradition that have long defined CHSL spring sports. With championship-caliber programs spread across the Bishop, Cardinal and Ste. Anne divisions, the 2026 season should feature strong team races, standout individual performances and another exciting run toward the league championships. (Catholic High School League)

On the boys side, Toledo St. Francis de Sales returns as the defending Bishop Division champion, while Macomb Lutheran North enters the season after capturing the 2025 Cardinal title. Ann Arbor Greenhills also comes back as the reigning Ste. Anne champion, giving the league a strong group of returning standard-bearers across all three divisions. The girls season also opens with proven champions leading the way. Toledo St. Ursula Academy is the defending Bishop champion, Ann Arbor Fr. Gabriel Richard returns as Cardinal champion, and Ann Arbor Greenhills begins the year as the defending Ste. Anne titleholder.
